Joey began his funeral service career in 1995 in a small town in central Florida. After graduating from Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Georgia in 1997, Joey has served communities in several states including Georgia, Virginia, and Montana before moving to Casper in 2016 to work for Bustard’s Funeral Directors. In 2018, Joey became the managing funeral director at Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home in Casper.
In April 2021, Joey and his family moved from Casper to Rawlins to serve families of Carbon County as the Funeral Director at Jacoby Funeral Home. "Rawlins reminds me of the small town I grew up in, where everyone knows everyone. We are honored be a part of this community."
Joey and his wife Shayna purchased Jacoby Funeral Home in December 2022 and re-named it Casada Funeral Home & Crematory. We are committed to continuing to provide the families of Carbon County quality, compassionate and affordable service during their time of need. We are truly our family serving yours.
Joey is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Wyoming Funeral Directors Association. He has served as WyFDA Chairman of the Board since 2021.
Joey and his wife, Shayna, have three children and together they enjoy spending time in the outdoors camping, fishing, and hunting as well as traveling and meeting new people. We are available to help in any way we can. Please feel free to call upon us for help or to ask questions.
Cheryl is a lifelong resident of Rawlins and joined the staff in July of 2015. She enjoys interacting with and providing support to families.
Shayna joined the Jacoby team with her husband, Joey, in April 2021. Shayna enjoys being a part of the funeral home and serving families. She is a proud mom of 3 children and enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring the outdoors.
Wayne is a Wyoming native, born in Laramie. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He worked in the coal industry for over thirty years and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after twenty years.
He has lived in Rawlins since 1972, attends St. Joseph's Catholic Church and volunteers at St. Vincent's De Paul.
For the past two years, Wayne has assisted with services for the Jacoby Funeral Home. He likes to be able to be some consolation to the grieving families.
