Virginia Micek

Long time Rawlins resident, Virginia Micek passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Wyoming Medical Center at the age of 83.

Virginia was born in Columbus, Nebraska to James Leo and Nellie May Kinzer. Virginia married Rudy Micek (deceased) on February 27, 1954. She loved spending time with her family, eating lunch at the senior center and volunteering at St Vincent de Paul.

She was a member of the Catholic church.

Virginia will be sadly missed by her daughter:  Jeannie Stanley, husband Bill Stanley, their daughters Melissa Thompson, husband Stephen Thompson, Tina Vannucci and 2 great-grandchildren. Daughter: Connie Marshall, her son JR Marshall, his wife Hannah and 2 great-grandchildren. Son: Steve Micek, wife Teri (Withrow), their son Nick Micek, wife Stephanie, daughter Andrea Sun, husband John and 11 great-grandchildren.  Daughter:  Barbara James, husband Randy James, their daughter Jessica Bays, husband Jerrod, their son Joe James, wife Lindy and 4 great-grandchildren.

Virginia is also survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, seven sisters and three brothers.

As per the deceased wishes no services will be held.

Cremation has taken place under the care of Jacoby Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to:  St. Vincent de Paul
