Theresa N. Cerutti, resident of Valley View Nursing and Rehab., passed away peacefully Thursday evening, November 8. Theresa was born in Napa, CA, and raised in Riverdale, CA. She spent part of her adult life in Fresno, CA and part in Cheyenne and Saratoga, WY. Theresa's parents were Italian immigrants. Theresa and her siblings, Annie and Bill, had to learn how to speak English when they began school, as only Italian was spoken at home. In fact, Theresa spoke and wrote English and Italian. She also spoke Portuguese and Spanish. During World War II Theresa was a plane spotter for the Lemoore, CA Naval Air Station. This is how she met and later married Ernest R. Cerutti in 1943. They moved to Easton, CA, where they farmed and operated a dairy. They had one daughter, Nancy. After Nancy's marriage to Stephen Facciani, wherein the couple moved to Wyoming, Theresa and Ernest remained in Fresno until Ernest's death in 1975. Theresa then returned to college in Fresno where she received a degree in Nutrition. She became a food supervisor for Nazareth House Catholic Nursing Home in Fresno, CA. After several years she missed her family, so she moved to Cheyenne to be near them. She then began working for the Cheyenne Housing Authority at Stanfield Manor as a Server, then Kitchen Supervisor/Apartment Manager. Theresa retired in 2002. Theresa is survived by her daughter Nancy, granddaughters Theresa and Mary, and great-grandsons Luke and Jacob. She is also proud to be survived by her son-in-law Stephen and grandson-in-law Greg, whom she loved as her own family! Theresa has numerous nieces, nephews and their families through the nation. Theresa was a very hard worker and always had a smile for everyone. We will miss her smile and saying "I love you."
