Talmadge Ray Sapp, 74, of Rawlins, passed away Jan. 4, 2013, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne. He was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Sanderson, FL to parents Nancy (Crews) and Woodrow W. Sapp. He had worked as a carpenter and enjoyed fishing, hunting, writing short stories, and woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sara M. Sapp; three children: Cheryl Verplancke, Steve (Kathryn) Sapp, and Carrie (Eric) Beck; six grandchildren: Jared and Alec Verplancke, Samuel and Keenan Sapp, and Ryan and Savannah Beck; and a sister, Dorris Burnsed. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Sapp. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed. Jan. 9, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins. Bill Spicer will officiate.
