Stan Rothenberger

Stan Gregg Rothenberger, 77, of Rawlins passed away Aug. 23, 2018 in Casper. He was born Mar. 17, 1941 in Lamar, CO to parents, Thelma L. (Griggs) and Roland J. Rothenberger. Stan graduated from Rawlins High School in 1959 and then attended the University of WY, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. He then graduated with a degree in Pharmacy in 1964. Stan worked as a pharmacist at Morgan's Drug, Highway Drug and then for many years at Bi-Rite Pharmacy in Rawlins and Saratoga. Stan was passionate about animal rescue and loved his dog, Pooche, who he rescued from the airport in Venezuela and flew to the U.S. He also loved Rawlins Outlaw and University of WY athletics and was a huge fan of the LA Dodgers and drag racing. He also enjoyed fly fishing, photography, watching sports, visiting his cabin at the Odd Fellows campground and traveling. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Maria Fuentes Rothenberger; children, Sebastian Rothenberger, Gregg (Shanda) Rothenberger, Gretchen Paul, Grant (Jenn) Rothenberger and Gwynn (Brad) Bartlett; grandchildren, Connor and Jaxson Rothenberger and Carston and Aspyn Bartlett, all of Rawlins; brother, Ron (Susan) Rothenberger of Scotts Valley, CA; and nephew and nieces, Jason, Amy and Aly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Rothenberger and Thelma Griggs Rothenberger, formerly of Rawlins and then of Laguna Hills, CA. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wed. Aug. 29, 2018 at the Jacoby Funeral Home Chapel in Rawlins. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Dean Russell will officiate.
