Shirley L. Colter, age 74, passed away March 27, 2023. Shirley was born April 21, 1948 to Duane N. Kelley and Evelyn Prosser.
Shirley married George Colter on July 30, 1966. She enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her children, Cindy and her husband Martin Danner, Cheri Bliss, Celia and her husband Kenneth Chapin, Fenner and husband Joseph Colter, II, and Fred Colter; 16 Grandchildren 16 Great-grandchildren; her sisters Sharon Peck of Panama, New York, Dora D. Kelley of Virginia, Sandy Simmins of Great Valley, New York, Delinda Kelley Cline and her husband Richard of Great Valley, New York; brother, Kenneth Kelley of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; sister-in-law Catherine Woncki and her husband Dick of New Albion, New York and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George in 2017, grandson Jeremy Colter in 2022 and great grandson Rayshawn Colter in 2022, brothers Duane R. Kelley, and Leon Kelley; sister, Doreen Kelley; sister-in-law Doraldena Coats; brothers-in-law, Paul Peck, George Hogle, and Carl Simmins and a son-in-law, William Bliss.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion in Little Valley, New York. A second Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Depot in Rawlins, Wyoming.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Casada Funeral Home in Rawlins, Wyoming.
