Sharon Hughes

Rose Sharon Hughes, 73 of Saratoga, died at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Casper. She was born June 9, 1941 in Delaware County Oklahoma, to Herman and Nedra Brown. She married Marvin Hughes on October 7, 1956 in Laramie Wyoming. Sharon and Marvin moved from Laramie to Saratoga in 1969, where they raised their three sons. Sharon was talented in many different areas, but sewing and cooking were her specialities. Being a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was her highlight. There was nothing more important to her than family, other than her relationship with her Heavenly Father. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Hughes; three sons, Rick (Carol) Hughes, Arlen (Tiffany) Hughes and Todd Hughes (Lynda Padilla); four grandchildren, Abby (Richard) Raymer, Brian Hughes, Tyler Hughes and Brooke Hughes; great-granddaughter, Kelsea Raymer; all of Saratoga; two brothers, Ellis (Betty) Brown and Don (Sandy) Brown; one sister, Carol Petersen; brother-in-law, Dick Pipkin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Nedra Brown; infant son, Randy; sister, Evelyn Pipkin; and brother-in-law, Con Petersen. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins, Wyoming. Services will take place on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Saratoga Cemetery Pavilion . Interment will follow in the Saratoga Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Veterans Island immediately following the service.
