Roy Archuleta, 61, son, father, and dear friend to all, died unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Roy was born in Rawlins, WY on June 11, 1961, to Frank and Frances Archuleta. He graduated high school in 1979 from Rawlins High School and became a journeyman plumber at the age of 21 years old.
Roy is survived by his children Lisa Sanchez (Charlie), Isaac Archuleta, Shelby Field (Trevor), Brooke Causey (Justin), Tessa Hajek, his spouse Lori Gaugler, and grandchildren Cooper, Dallin, Grayson, Tap and Taya. Roy is also survived by his parents, Frank and Frances Archuleta, brothers Derrick, Frank, Floyd (Pat), and Kevin Archuleta (Nicole) along with many nieces and nephews.
Roy’s passion as a plumber took him across the United States. This journey started in Wyoming, but he found himself in Colorado, Arizona, California, Tennessee, and Rock Springs. In the early 2000s, he started his own plumbing business, Arch/Ryan Plumbing. Here he trained his son and lead the community with a beloved family-owned business. Opportunity then came knocking on his door and Roy found him back home in Rawlins to work at the Sinclair Refinery. He continued to use his skills while working alongside some of the finest crew members anyone has ever met.
Our world was truly blessed to know a man with an eclectic taste of music. In the summers, you could always find Roy on his Harley Davidson listening to music from artists such as Michael Jackson to Judas Priest. His passion found him biking around the mountainside in Saratoga, camping with family, fishing alongside his brothers, and loving those around him as if they were his biological family. He loved deeply, was a proud father to his children, and would give everything he had to provide for those around him. We will truly miss his wild sense of humor and his laughter.
Thank you, Roy, for helping us all to experience the ride of life.
