Rosemary Wenger

Rosemary Wenger, 86, of Rawlins passed away Dec. 27, 2016 at her residence. She was born Feb. 24, 1930 in Prairie du Rocher, IL to parents Mary Josephine (Longlois) and John Blow. A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held Fri. Dec. 30, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat. Dec. 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Sam Hayes as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Rosemary attended school in Prairie du Rocher, IL through the tenth grade. On Nov. 29, 1951, she was married to John J. Wenger. She spent the majority of her life as a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who loved cooking and caring for her family. Survivors include her three children, Mary Ann Kotas, Sammy John Wenger and Terry Ray Wenger; five grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 51 years, John J. Wenger, who passed away May 6, 2002.
