Ronnie Jay Sjogren, 69 years of age was born in Rawlins Wyoming March 12, 1956. He passed away on March 13, 2025.

Ronnie loved spending time in the mountains of Wyoming where he would camp, hunt, fish, boating and sometimes pan for gold with family & friends, plus he would talk about the times when he floated different rivers. He loved cooking meals for family & friends.

Ronnie married the love of his life, Shelley Shepherd on July 9, 1994 in Rawlins, Wyoming.

He was a member of the Elk Lodge in Rawlins where he enjoyed participating in charity work and socializing. His nieces, nephews & brother & sisters were a big part of his life growing up, he would talk about how he adored them and how much they meant to him.

Ronnie worked as a conductor for Union Pacific Railroad for 39.5 years. He served as a Union Rep for UTU for 12 yeas. He retired in 2016.

The year of 2018, he & Shelley became Snowbirds in Arizona, he loved the warmth and decided to relocate his home to Mesquite Nevada where he and Shelley Built their home.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his Grandparents John O. & Marie Sjogren and Everett & Radie Dye, parents John Clarence & Margaret Sjogren and his sister Norma & (Hugh) Jennings; and half-brothers, Billy J. Steele and Earl J. Steele.

He is Survived by his wife Shelley Sjogren and his siblings John (Betty) Sjogren, and Myrna (Chet) Carson. His children, RJ Sjogren & Ryan Sjogren and step children Bowdie Noyes, Pete (Brandi) Noyes, Shawna (Jeff ) Ice. Grandchildren, Colton Ice, JC Ice, Isiah Sjogren, Kaitlynn Noyes, little Bowdie Noyes, Shianne Noyes, Robert Noyes.

A graveside service with Elks Lodge #609 will be held at the Rawlins Cemetery at 2pm on Friday March 21, 2025, 915 3rd St, Rawlins, WY. 

Immediately following, a reception will be held at the Elk Lodge, 403 West Buffalo St.
