Robert R. Pixler, Sr. (Pix) passed from this life on June 26, 2016 in Lexington, KY surrounded by his family. He was 73 years old. Bob was born to parents Donal and Mary (Clemmons) Pixler on January 28, 1943 in Rawlins, WY. He graduated from Rawlins High School, and later from the University of Wyoming with a BS in Civil Engineering and Architecture. Bob's first job after college was with the Wyoming Highway Department, followed by a time at Prestressed Concrete. He spent 22 years with Arch Coal Company, 5 years with Dillman Construction, and 11 years with BLM before his retirement in 2013. Bob was a member of the National Guard. Bob married Susan Williams on January 28, 1967. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January of next year. Sue survives to honor his memory, as do their children; Kelli (Vince) Vandiver, and Rob (Genea) Pixler. Bob also leaves 4 grandchildren; Chase, Kenady and James Vandiver, and Gianna Pixler. He is survived by one brother; Don (Jeanne) Pixler; and two sisters, Pam (Pat) Rollison, and Linda James. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive Bob. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donal and Mary. A private family graveside service will be held. Bob's many friends are encouraged to bring their favorite story and join his family for a time of remembrance on July 13, 2016 from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Rodeway Inn, 1801 E. Cedar Street, Rawlins, WY. His family will be deeply honored by your donation, in Bob's name, to your favorite charity. Please no flowers.
