Rikki Shinkle

Rikki Lynn Shinkle, formally of Rawlins, a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and caring sole suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on the morning of December 11, 2014 in Rock Springs, Wyoming with the love of her life by her side. "Rikatik" was passionate about a lot of things in life but her biggest pride and joy was her son Hayden and her family. She held numerous different jobs in her short life but her true calling was to become a cosmetologist. Born on November 22, 1985 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Richard and Tina Morlock-Shinkle, she graduated from Rawlins High School in 2004. Rikki was engaged to Wesley France to be married in 2015. Rikki was a fun loving, free willed, tender hearted girl. She never met anyone she did not like. She was one of the most caring people in the world and would give anyone the shirt off her back to ensure that they were safe. She had a love for all people no matter where they came from and she judged no one. She was always willing to lend a hand no matter the situation, always ready to give it her all. Rikki loved spending her free time with her family, shopping, outdoors, hunting and fishing with her son and her dad. She held a special place in her heart for laughing and joking with her brother, sister, mother and friends all while teasing each other and recalling childhood memories. On January 26, 2008 Rikki married Cory Magnuson in Rawlins. To this union a son Hayden Todd Magnuson was born December 31, 2006. Rikki and Cory later divorced. In October of 2014 Rikki was united with her high school sweetheart Wesley Bert France. They planned to be married in 2015. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00AM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Masonic Temple in Rawlins with Rikki's uncle Steve Tharp speaking on behalf of the family. The family is requesting everyone to wear Pink or Purple as these were Rikki's favorite colors, but please feel free to wear what you would like. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hayden Magnuson, Casey Shinkle, Jack Shinkle, Scott Shinkle, Gary "Fuzz" Shinkle, Marc Shinkle, Randy Shinkle, Steve Morlock and Steve Tharp, Chadd France and Brad France. Rikki is survived by her son, Hayden; fiancé, Wes France (Rock Springs, WY); parents, Rick and Tina Morlock-Shinkle (Rawlins, WY); sister, K.D. Shinkle and husband, Johnny Gomez (Rawlins, WY); nieces, Kaydence Lopez and Bree and Megan Gomez; nephew, Nehemiah Gomez; brother, Casey Shinkle (Billings, MT); grandparents, Kay Warner (Hurricane, UT) and Vicki and Larry Hodgkins (Rawlins, WY); in-laws, Gordon and Stacey France; and numerous aunts and uncles. Rikki will also be remembered by her extended family, Rachel Boling, Casey Bartlett, Erica Meacham, Charell Makinen and Shantell Wyant. Rikki was preceded in death by her granddads, Walt Shinkle and Jack Morlock; and grandmother, Nancy Fuller. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Hayden Magnuson College Fund, c/o Bank of Commerce, P.O. Box 50, Rawlins, WY 82301.
