Harry "Richard" Schanck, 82, of Sinclair, died Dec. 9, 2011, at his home following a brief illness. He was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Medicine Bow to Harry and Marie (Griffith) Schanck. He married Doris Logan on Sept. 3, 1948, in Laramie. He worked in oil fields, ranched, drove a school bus and operated Dick's Service in Lamont - which he retired from in 1989. After retirement, he lived in Rawlins, Encampment and Sinclair. He enjoyed searching for arrowheads and hunting with his mule. He was a life member of Elk's Club BPOE 609. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents; son; granddaughter; sister; and brother. He is survived by his wife, Doris; sons, Richard L. (Jennifer) Schanck of Sinclair and Michael (Kim) Schanck of Watford City, N.D.; daughter, Charlotte (John) Nodolf of Lander; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
