Richard E. Jervah, Jr., born on November 27, 1964, in Red Lodge, Montana, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on December 15, 2024. Richard's journey through life saw him embody many roles, each marked by his caring spirit and culinary talent. He graduated from Natrona High School in Casper, Wyoming, and pursued his passion for cooking at culinary school in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Throughout his life, Richard embraced various job opportunities, but he will be especially remembered for his remarkable skills in the kitchen. Friends and family alike knew they were in for a treat whenever Richard was cooking; his meals were always a source of joy and satisfaction.
Richard was not only a chef but also a compassionate individual, always eager to help those in need. This dedication to others was notably evident when he returned to Sinclair, Wyoming, in 2010 to care for his father during his declining years. His capacity for kindness was matched by his enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, including cooking, watching movies, listening to music, and collecting dragon figurines and knives.
Above all, Richard took great pride in his family, considering his children his proudest accomplishments. He is survived by his children, Richard Jervah III and Jennifer Jervah, and his grandchildren, Frederick and Christine Lamb. Richard also leaves behind his sister, Marian Totland, and brother, Jerry Jervah. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard E. Jervah and Beverly J. Jervah.
A graveside service will be held at the Rawlins Cemetery pavilion in Rawlins, Wyoming, on December 20, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike Holmes officiating. Richard's warmth and remarkable spirit will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love and care will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
