Dick Aguilar passed away at his home on October 14, 2013 at the age of 63. Funeral arrangements are made by Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins, with a Rosary on Sunday, October 20, at 7:00 p.m. and funeral set for Monday, October 21, at 10:00 a.m. at st. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Dick Aguilar was born January 10, 1950, in Rawlins, Wyoming, the son of Phyllis (Sandoval) Aguilar Torres and John P. Aguilar. Dick was raised in Rawlins and attended st. Joseph Parochial School and Rawlins High School. He is remembered by his caring, loving ways and his loyalty to his family and friends. Dick was very musical and artistically talented besides his love for dancing, in which he not only danced barefooted but walked everywhere without his shoes. Dick's pleasures in life were camping, fishing but especially being around family/friends and cooking for them since he was an excellent cook. He enjoyed his skills as a carpenter/journeyman and as a fix-it-man and gave many hours of his time to those who needed his services. He was preceded in death by his father, John P. Aguilar and his brother, Ted A. Aguilar. Dick is survived by his mother, Phyllis Torres of Rawlins; daughters, Randi (Jacobe) Bertram of Laramie; Ava (Joe) Kennedy; Kelley Nunes and Michelle (Mark) Johnson; son, Richard A. Aguilar of Laramie; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Elijah, Onyx, Angel, Anthony, Abby, Alyssa, Nicole and Tamera; sister, Linda Martinez of Denver; sister-in-law Gayle Strawn of Denver; uncles, aunts, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends .
