Ralph D. Garcia, 76, a longtime resident of Rawlins, died Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Ralph was born September 8, 1941, in Mora, NM, the son of John and Mary (Gonzales) Garcia. On September 3, 1983, he married Barbara Gomez in Rawlins. Ralph was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad for over 20 years, he also worked for nearly as long at the City of Rawlins in several departments, including, Animal Control, County Landfill, Recycling Center, and Recreation Center. He continued working after retirement until very recently. Ralph never knew a stranger, if he didn't know you, he would introduce himself and quickly become friends. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Ralph is survived by his wife Barbara; Sons, Ralph Garcia (Melissa), Jeff Garcia (Lindsay), Mark Bowie (Kelsey); Daughters, Veronica Garcia, Angela Medina (Gilbert), Susan Burdette (Jay), Cyndy Munson (Stan), Lisa Arellano; Sisters, Grace DeHerrera (Leo), Corrine Pacheco (Johnny), Diane Wright (Kevin), and Doris Ostrowski (Phil); and many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Garcia; brothers, John C., Raymond F., and Billy T. Garcia; sister, Maryann Irene Garcia, and baby Joseph.
