Pauleen Herring, 61, of Rawlins, WY passed away on July 9, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County after a valiant fight against cancer. She was born June 19, 1954 in Casper, WY to Mary and Howard Ostrem. She lived in Medicine Bow with her mom, brother and two sisters until she graduated in 1972. After high school Pauleen moved to Rawlins where she worked at the hospital. In 1974 she met the love of her life, Charles Herring, and they were married March 29, 1975. Pauleen was a stay at home mom raising her two children until she went to work for Rawlins National Bank in 1987. Pauleen worked for the next 28 years as a bank teller, with the last 14yrs at Bank of Commerce. She truly enjoyed her coworkers and the customers. She greeted everyone with a smile. Her hobbies included spending time with family and friends, scrapbooking, growing flowers, baking, cooking and shopping. She loved to try new recipes and shared her creations with others. She was always thinking about, planning, and decorating for a birthday or holiday events. She will be remembered by anyone whose life she touched. Survivors include her husband, Charles Herring of Rawlins; her daughter, Amy and her husband Michael Darling of Rawlins; her son, Paul and his fiancé Kate Delano of Casper; a sister-in-law, JoAnn and her husband Ralph Winkel of Green River; a sister-in-law, Janet Kennaday of Saratoga; a sister, Carolyn Carver of Colorado; four grandchildren, Madison and Nolan Darling, of Rawlins and Jordan and Hunter Delano of Casper; plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary; her father, Howard; her brother, Howdy; and her sister, Jodeen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bank of Commerce in memory of Pauleen Herring, P.O. Box 50, Rawlins, WY 82301. All proceeds that are raised will be donated back to Cancer Organizations. Services will take place on July 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Rawlins WY. Sharon Langfeldt will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Final resting place will be at the Cemetery in Saratoga, WY.
