Pam (Deist) Fagnant, 53, formerly of Rawlins, passed away on Nov. 5, 2014 at her residence in Owasso, Oklahoma, with her husband and children by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Pam was born in Kearney, Nebraska on Aug. 30, 1961 to Alfred & Laura (Altmaier) Deist. She graduated from Rawlins High School in 1979. Pam attended Casper College for one year then attended Cosmetic Arts and Science, graduating in 1981. She married her high school sweetheart, David Fagnant on September 10, 1983, in Rawlins, where they lived and raised their two children, Karl and Jackie, the loves of her life. They lived in Rawlins until 2012, when they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pam was a cosmetologist for over 32 years in Rawlins, owning her own salon for 24 years. Pam worked the Carbon County Election Boards for ten years where she enjoyed seeing and talking with everyone. Through her salon, Pam had numerous clients and lifelong friends. Pam enjoyed being involved with her children's activities and helping in any way needed. Pam enjoyed the family camping trips, family vacations and the precious time with friends. Pam will always be remembered as a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Pam had endless energy and love, showing in everything she did. She always tried to ensure that those around her were taken care of and knew she was there to help when needed. Pam touched so many lives in so many ways that it cannot be measured or counted. Pam is survived by her husband, David; son, Karl; daughter, Jackie; parents, Al and Laura Deist; brothers, Jeff (Lisa) and Eric (Judy) Deist; sisters, Jodie Fairhurst and Sara Deist; nieces and nephews, Courtney, Shelby, Alex and Sadie Deist and Bronson Fairhurst; in-laws, Ernie & Agnes Fagnant; brother and sister in-law, Michael & Cindy Fagnant; nephews, Matt Fagnant and family, Shaun Fagnant and family and Sarah (Fagnant) Streams and family. A Celebration of Life for Pam will be held at the Jeffrey Center in Rawlins, WY on Nov. 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. A memorial fund in memory of Pam has been established with the Tulsa Area American Cancer Society.
