You are my sunshine … and will always be

Our sweet mom and dad were reunited January 29, 2021 as she graduated to the next life surrounded by her family.   Dad was there to meet her and welcome her home to the beautiful paradise he’s been working on the past few years.  Growing up we were a together family, lived together, played together at the lake, and worked together cleaning many commercial buildings.  Even as we each moved on she never missed a chance to call and sing to us happy birthday.  We’ll think of her every day but will especially miss hearing her voice each year on those special occasions.

Mom was born in Rawlins on the first day of summer June 21, 1934.  She was proceeded in death by her sweetheart of over 60 years Nickolas Rodriguez, parents Joe Trujillo and Francisca Lucero Montoya, siblings Tina Sanchez, Jesus Montoya, Steven Montoya Sr., Julia Trujillo, Mary Trujillo, Margaret Trujillo, and Danny Trujillo.

Survived by her children Randy (Cathy), Andy (Barbara), Joe, Daniel (Tammy); Grandkids Crystal, Hillary, Justin, Brandon, Colby, Brittney; Great Grandkids Gavin, Owen, Ryder, Lincoln, Clinton Ezra.

A memorial celebration for our parents will be held this summer at Seminoe, scattering their ashes together over the sand they loved to play in.  They were together through all of life’s ups and downs, it’s only fitting they be together through the warm sunshine of the beauty they loved.

We love and miss you mom - You are our sunshine, our only sunshine, you make us happy when skies are grey - You’ll never know mom how much we love you, we will cherish and remember your sunshine every day.
