Nadine Caleb

Jewel "Nadine" Caleb, age 83, passed away on November 13, 2015 at the Saratoga Care Center in Saratoga, Wyoming. She was born February 13, 1932 in Hanna, Oklahoma to parents Lewis and Effie May Britt Payne. She graduated in 1950 from Dustin High School in Dustin, OK. While in high school, she was a member of the girls' basketball team. She worked as the Head Cook at the Senior Center in Encampment as well as other jobs in Encampment that included cooking, especially pies. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, spending time with friends and family and telling jokes to make people laugh. Survivors include son, Keith Caleb; daughter, Jody and her husband, Jack, Moore, all of Saratoga; granddaughter, Tracey and her husband, Dave, Brayman of Cheyenne; grandson, Shane his wife, Stephanie and their children, Jackson and Addie Moore of Gilbert, AZ; sisters, Ruth Long, Judy Jones, and Mary Shatswell of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Loid; her parents; brothers, Odeal, Roy, Kenneth and Thomas Payne; sisters, Lorene Crawford, Bonnie Crowden, Udola Barnett and Carma Roftis; and very special family friend, Tom Skinner. The family will hold services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in her memory to the charity of their choice or the Saratoga Senior Center, P.O. Box 651, Saratoga, WY 82331.
