Muriel Houser, 87, of Rawlins, Wyoming passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. She was born May 24, 1927 in Encampment, Wyoming to Daisy Gladys Strange Hunter and Clarence Edward Hunter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carbon County Funeral Home. Services will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Carbon County Funeral Home. Bill Spicer will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Muriel grew up in many Wyoming towns and her education took her through the 10th grade. For a number of years she and her husband owned and operated the Sunset Motel. She loved to travel, camp, hunt, and enjoyed flower gardening. She will be remembered as a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Survivors include son, David Nicholas Marquith and wife, Judy, of Sheridan, WY and Monument, CO; daughters, Tandie Jean Bey and husband, John, of Medora, ND, and Gaydene Klimis and husband, Nick, of Griffith, IN; her eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; sister, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, David Wilton Marquith; her husband of twenty-seven years, Galen Donald Houser; and her brother.
