Michael Morris

Michael D. Morris passed away November 15, 2012 At Carbon County Memorial Hospital. He was born January 17, 1948 to James and Dolores Morris in Sutter Creek, CA. The family moved to Rawlins when he was very young. He spent the rest of his life in the Rawlins and Encampment areas. He worked in the construction industry and trained to be a plumber. Michael owned and operated Morris Maintenance Service for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, backpacking, camping, and riding mountain bikes. In later years, he and his wife Anita spent many Saturdays in their jeep exploring Carbon County. In the last six months Michael and Anita worked together to build their dream garage. Michael was preceded in death by his father, James F. Morris, in 1965. He is survived by Anita, his wife of 35 years; daughter Carrie (Steve) Rzasa; grandsons, Benjamin and Nathan Rzasa; his mother Dolores Morris; sister, Cathy Cox; and brother, Steven Morris. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to the charity of your choice. Services will be held at a later date.
