Mary Underwood Weber

Mary Weber of Rawlins, Wyoming passed away on November 9, 2023.  Mary was born in Ayr, Scotland on June 20, 1937.  She spent her childhood in Scotland arriving in the United States at the young age of 19, to be the godmother to her niece Heather in October 1957.  While living and working in Columbia, Missouri, she met and married the love of her life Phillip Weber.  They were married July 17, 1965, and started a family shortly thereafter.  First to arrive was a daughter, Theresa, and then four years later a son, Paul.  As a family they moved to Rawlins, Wyoming in 1976, for a job opportunity for Phillip.  Mary would work at various jobs eventually landing at the BLM.  She retired in 2000. During her retirement she enjoyed reading a good mystery, gardening, knitting, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ever the warrior, she battled cancer multiple times.  Her Scottish heritage meant she was stubborn, never giving up, never complaining thru illness, treatments, and pain. 

The most important thing in her life was her family and nothing would keep her from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She carried her Scottish accent throughout her life.  Her pronunciation of words such as coupons, tacos, nachos, girl, palm, and garage.  Often leaving people with a smile on their faces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Weber; her parents George and Agnes Dunlap; her sister Maureen, and brother George. 

She is survived by her sister Ella Christian, daughter Theresa (Chuck) Gemelli and son Paul (Patricia) Weber; granddaughters Megan (Eddie), Ayala, Jordan (Josh) Smidt, and Stephanie Weber; grandsons Brendan Gemelli and Phillip Weber; great grandchildren Belle, Nolan, Elijah, Maren, Milli Anna and Rocklyn; also, numerous nieces and nephews.
