Marvin Donn Madsen .. Born November 18th, 1954 in Rawlins, Wyoming. Died of cardiac arrest on August 6th, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Cleo Madsen. He is survived by his siblings, Steven Madsen, (Sue) Susan Morgan, (Bob) and Karen Wood, (Russ). He was a son, brother, cousin, uncle and a very good friend.
Marv was a fun boy. He had such a mischievous smile and was certainly full of fun and games. He loved baseball and had a really good arm on him. During high school he worked at The Sports Corner in Rawlins where Larry and Nancy Harris loved and tutored him.
Marv graduated from Rawlins High School in 1973. He then went on to work on the Union Pacific Railroad until 1987.
A new adventure took him to Tucson, Arizona where he worked in the plumbing business for many years. During this time he bought some land on the desert and built a cute house out of cinder blocks and stucco. Marv bought and ran a gun shop in Tucson. He did that for about 5 years.
Next adventure took him to Springerville, Arizona where he was the sporting goods manager for Western Drug and Sporting Goods.
It was a tough decision, but he willingly made the move back into his parents home so he could help care for them. He did a good job of watching out for them and keeping the house upgraded with new attic insulation, rewiring, painting, de-cluttering, etc. During this time Marv developed a good eye for woodworking and got pretty good at turning a lathe.
He certainly had a fun sense of humor. He was a good guy and he will be sorely missed.
He unselfishly gave his time to care for his parents. His siblings will be forever grateful for his willingness to do that as it was a gift to them as well. Goodbye Marv. See you on the other side.
