Services for Mark Kenneth Hansen will be held at 1:00 p.m. on December 1, 2017, at the Christ Lutheran Church, Colorado and Kendrick Streets with Pastor Terry Wiley officiating. Mark passed away at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County on Friday, November, 24 2017, surround by his family, after losing his courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born January 16, 1966, in Denver, CO to Lyle and Eileen Hansen. Mark graduated from Rawlins High School in 1984 and began a long career with the Schwan's food company that ultimately took him West to Oregon before coming back to his hometown of Rawlins. In 2007, Mark began his second career with Sinclair Oil Company. Mark was a vibrant character who enjoyed travel and made many friends in every state he visited. Mark was lucky enough to fulfill his bucket list of visiting all 50 of the U.S. States and beyond; each state holding a relative or dear friend. While in Rawlins, Mark developed his own piece of heaven on a 100-acre parcel just outside of town. This is where Mark enjoyed his downtime with his family and dogs; Penny and Digger. He is survived by his mother, Eileen Hansen of Rawlins, WY; three sisters, Anita (Pat) Grieve of Baggs, WY, Darla (Troy Collins) Hansen of Colorado Springs, CO and Melissa Hansen of Rawlins, WY; his nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles; and his many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Hansen in 2015; brother, Lloyd Hansen in 2002; and a sister, Cheryl Rosentreter in 2009.
