Mark Leroy Brown, resident of Sinclair, Wyoming, went to his eternal reward June 23, 2020 at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County; he was 61 years old. Mark was born in Kansas City, Kansas, to Dorothy Wilcut Brown and Jerry Brown on May 6, 1959; he had a beautiful relationship with his step-father, Marion Smith. He attended schools in Mound City, Kansas, graduating from Mound City High School in 1978 and attended college in Fort Scott, Kansas. He enlisted in the US National Guard in 1980 and served for six years. Mark married the love of his life, Cinthia Ann Lumpkins on September 4, 1982, in Mound City, Kansas. Mark worked in road construction in Kansas before coming to Wyoming where he held other positions until he went to work for the Wyoming State Penitentiary, retiring from there after 26 years in 2015. Mark was a member of the Pentecostals of Rawlins United Pentecostal Church where he was very active in Gatekeepers Men’s Ministry. Mark loved his Denver Broncos, cooking, fishing for catfish, bowling, babysitting his grandchildren and watching his grandson, Mikey, play sports. Mark will be sorely missed by his wife of 37 years, Cinthia Brown; his children Valory Drayton (Michael), Hallee Brown, Leslie, Kathryn, Karl, Malcom, Kolby, and Tiffanie; his grandchildren Michael Drayton, Jr, Marshaun Drayton and Cosette DeVore; his siblings Lori Myers from Kansas, Cynthia Brown from Cheyenne, Wyoming, Carl (Pam), Calvin, Coleen Tim (Bobby) and Debbie Estep (Todd) from Tennessee; his Aunt Erline of Kasnsas City, Kansas, Uncle Bill and Aunt Barb of Cheyenne, Wyoming, as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark was preceded in death by his parents and step-father and other family members. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the Pentecostal of Rawlins with the Reverend A. Matthew Pearce presiding. This will be for family only at the church (due to the Covid-19 social distancing restrictions) and the service will be broadcast via Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/PentecostalsofRawlins/ and on YouTube. Cremation is taking place under the direction of Jacoby Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to assist with end of life expenses.
