Marilyn Showalter

Marilyn C. Showalter, 78, of Rawlins passed away Feb. 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1939 in Bismarck, ND to parents, John and Clara Lang. Marilyn graduated from Bismark High School in Bismark, North Dakota. She then went on to Asbury College where she met Robert Showalter, whom she later married. Marilyn worked at Kindred Nursing Home and Kids Campus for Carbon County. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, and cooking. Marilyn will be remembered as a giver of self and of the gifts the Lord had given her to be a blessing to those around her. One of her many gifts was playing the organ at her church, Trinity Assembly of God in Rawlins. She was very committed to and greatly enjoyed serving in this capacity. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Robert B. Showalter; daughters, Miriam T. (Art) Joy and Michelle R. (Daryl) Kelly; brother, John Lang; sister, Corine Hasson; and grandchildren, Anna Westby, Joshua and Zech Spaeth, and Micah, Luke, and Levi Kelly. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara Lang; In-laws, Richard and Thelma Showalter; sisters, Pauline Gleason and Verna Schumaker; and brother, Paul Lang. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sat. Mar. 3, 2018 at the Trinity Assembly of God in Rawlins.
