Manuel Juaquin Martinez, 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on June 23, 2024. Manuel fought his battle against cancer bravely with the support from his family and friends.
Manuel was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on August 2nd, 1973, and graduated from Rawlins High School. Rawlins is where Manuel met his soul mate Eugenia Renee Archuleta. In 1997, Manuel and Eugenia were united in marriage and their true love shone brightly throughout the years. With guidance from his late father-in-law, Art Archuleta, he became a licensed Master Plumber. After moving to Cheyenne in 2010, he worked for Accent Plumbing, Marv's Plumbing, and Meritt Plumbing before becoming a plumber at Laramie County Community College, which is where he saw himself retiring from. Manuel was a member of Elks Lodge #0660 and enjoyed participating in their events.
Manuel enjoyed camping and spending his free time with family and his dog, Diablo. Manuel was a master of the D&D and Magic games. Manuel had multiple talents, including sketching and painting. He enjoyed hosting barbeques and grilling/smoking a variety of meats. He enjoyed game nights of RISK, magic, Warhammer, and D&D with his children. Family was very important to him, His last few years were spent enjoying chasing his grandchildren around when they came to visit from Tennessee and hearing about everything they were doing; his children and grandchildren were his pride & joy.
Manuel is preceded in death by his grandparents Maximo B. and Phyllis Martinez, Manuel E and Felicia Jaure. Manuel is survived by his wife of 26 years, Eugenia, his parents, David and Irene Martinez, brothers David (Jennifer) and Mike (Georgeann), his children, Alexandra, Adrian, Vincent, and SPC Victor, his grandchildren, Spencer and Aliya, his nephews, Adrien, David Jr., Gabe, Jacob, Jadon and great nephew Roland, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Many who had the pleasure of knowing Manuel know that he possessed a kind, knowledgeable, strong willed, goofy personality. He will be remembered as being free-spirted, kind-hearted, and for his willingness to help others. He was a wonderful son and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
