Lyle Hansen

Services for Lyle K. Hansen will be held on Thursday, February 19th, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, 411 E. Kendrick St. Rawlins, with Pastor Terry Wiley officiating. Lyle passed away from complications of cancer at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center on February 14, 2015, at the age of 79, surrounded by his family. Lyle was born on October 4,1935 on a farm south of Harrold, SD to Marinus and Alma (Neumann) Hansen. He met his wife, Eileen Struck in Pierre, SD. They were married on June 30, 1957 in Harrold, SD. They lived in various states before making Rawlins, WY their home in 1971. Lyle enjoyed golfing, hunting, camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was very proud of all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eileen of Rawlins, WY; one son, Mark Hansen of Rawlins, WY; three daughters, Anita (Pat) Grieve of Baggs, WY, Darla (John) Konashuk of Laramie, WY and Melissa Hansen of Rawlins, WY; two sisters, Arlene (Jake) Vilhauer of Highmore, SD and Lavonne (Paul) Bouffard of Jackson, CA; as well as 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brother;, a son, Lloyd Hansen in 2002; and a daughter, Cheryl Rosentreter in 2009.
