Louis Rivera

January 25, 1950 — March 2, 2025

Rawlins, WY

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Rivera on March 2, 2025, at the age of 75. Louis was born on January 25, 1950, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Carlos and Santos Rivera.

Louis was a cherished man known for his kind, loving, caring and humorous personality. He was an avid lover of the outdoors that included hunting, fishing and camping trips with family and friends. He loved giving his spare time to coach his sons’ baseball teams. He was always eager to create new memories with his children, twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was a tireless tinkerer of anything mechanical. He served the City of Rawlins as an employee for a total of 39 years through multiple departments and positions. After retirement, he and wife Linda were fond of spending their winters in his hometown of Fredericksburg, Texas, surrounded by brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

Louis lived a life filled with a tremendous passion for giving and service to those he loved. His departure leaves and unfillable void for those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Rivera, Sr. and Santos Aleman Rivera; siblings, Jose Rivera, Lupita Rivera, Juanita Rivera, Carlos Rivera Jr., Jesse Rivera, Joe Rivera, Gloria Gonzales and Leon Rivera. He is survived by his wife, Linda Rivera; sons, Andy Rivera and wife Marisela, Adrian Rivera and wife Jaci, Matthew Rivera and wife Skye; daughters, Delilah Zuniga and husband Ricco, Cynthia Harris and husband Robert; brothers, Alvino Rivera and wife Martha, James Rivera and wife Elizabeth, and Johnny Rivera; sisters, Estella Condarco and husband Eddie, Amy Martinez and husband Mike; sister and brother in laws, Roberts Bustos, Rosa Rivera, Rumalda Rivera, Anabel Trevino and Reyes Guevara.
