Linda Maes

July 17, 1968 — June 9, 2014

Linda Eva Maes (Nini), 45, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 9, 2014. She passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Rawlins. Nini was born July 17, 1968, to John & Neoma Maes. She was born and raised in Rawlins. She enjoyed spending time with her brother and sisters. She spent most of her career working at Su Casa Café. She enjoyed serving and meeting new guests who quickly became her friends. She will be remembered for her friendliness and generosity. She especially loved and respected babies, children, and the elderly. She was easy going, fun loving and had a smile would light up a room! Her hobbies included spending time with friends and family, listening to music and dancing, speed skating, cooking, hunting, reading and spending time in the mountains. Most importantly, she took pride in raising her children the best she could. She touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with and left an everlasting impression on them. She is survived by her spouse, Anthony Haar of Rawlins; parents, John and Neoma Maes of Rawlins; children, Issac Maes, Tiarra Schuele, Shianne Schuele and Joe Schuele, all of Rawlins; siblings, Debbie (James) Purves of Colorado Springs, CO, Ricky (Kim) Maes of Northglenn CO and Carla (Walter) Gray of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Nikko and Elena; ex-husband, Matt Schuele of Rawlins; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Antonio and Eva Herrera and DeRoyce and Linda Robertson; uncles, Emilio Herrera, Leroy Herrera, Andrew Herrera and Ray (Nio) Herrera; aunt, Josie Gutierrez; ex-spouse, Jesse Jaramillo; and cousin's, John (Bum) Gonzales, Miguel (Mikey) Bustos, Michael Herrera, and Gloria Herrera. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the United Pentecostal Church of Rawlins, Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the St. Joseph's gym (behind the Catholic Church) at 4:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Ron Gonzales, Tony Silva, Justin Maes, Andy Maes, Lisa Jaure, Shirine Neally, Annette Tanner, and Debbie Lazarkiewicz. Honorary Pallbearers are Betty Jean Bustos and Beatrice (Baker) Forest.
