LeRoy Martinez

LeRoy Herman Martinez, 54, of Rawlins, passed away Sept. 7, 2012, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in Rawlins. The Rosary will be recited on Tues. Sept. 11, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rawlins. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed. Sept. 12, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's with Father Sam Hayes as the Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Trinity Abeyta, Pat Gonzales, Jr., Fredie Sisneros, Jr., Joseph Depoyster, Jerry Depoyster, and Dominic Ramos. LeRoy was born Sept. 19, 1957, in Rawlins, to parents Eufracio and Antonia Martinez. He hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, and arrowhead hunting. He was an avid Broncos fan and enjoyed watching "The Price Is Right". He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Mary June Martinez; and nephew, Joshua Martinez. Survivors include his mother, Antonia "Toni" Martinez; sisters and brothers: Florida and Fred Abeyta, Gloria and Raymond Pat Gonzales, Lilian Martinez, Tommy and Debbie Martinez, and Johnny and Gena Martinez; nieces and nephews: Michelle, Juanita, Trinity, Jennifer, Liza, Patrick, Jr., April, Fredie, Jr., Trista, Katrina, Marie, and Brianna; great-nieces and nephews: Quirinita, Sedar, Ariel, Bernadett, Dominic, Izzy, Alicia, Anthony, Mathew, Jerry, Joseph, Jediah, Jude, Josh, Gloria, Orion, DeKayla, Grayson, Coda, Kayden, Kaylob, Kaylee, Santiago, Joseph, and Bella; all of whom he loved as his own children.
