Kevin Reeves

Kevin Reeves of Rawlins passed away suddenly on July 27, 2020, at home, at the age of 64. Kevin Paul Reeves was born on November 15th, in Sidney, Nebraska. The family moved to Rawlins in 1960, Kevin attended grades Kindergarten through High School in Rawlins, graduating in 1975. Kevin then attended the University of Wyoming studying Geology for four years. Kevin had a passion for geology, astronomy, math, and computers.  Kevin was a ham radio operator, call number KA7ZKI. Kevin was the absolute best uncle his sixteen nieces and nephews could ever wish for, he gave of himself and his possessions to all of them, never asking for anything in return. He was the greatest extra parent for all his sibling’s children that could ever be. Kevin cooked breakfast and lunch for all of Rawlins for around forty years at the Square Shooters Eating House.

Kevin will be sorely missed by his four remaining sisters: Karna Boorman, Kristy Schimmel (West), Jacques McNaughton, and Margaret (Roberto) Lopez.  His nieces and nephews: Tom, Brian, and James Ashbach, Matthew and Luke Reeves, Darcy Goodman, Will and Shay Boorman, Jon and Jeremiah Schimmel, Tiffany Hummel and Erika Tucker, Robyn, Vanessa, and Brandon Lopez, Nineteen grand nieces and nephews and five great grand nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Orval and Kaye Reeves, brothers James and Orval Jr., sister Hazel Ashbach, niece Krystal Harrison, and grandnephews Jack Boorman and Memphis Harrison.

A memorial service for Kevin will be held at the Jacoby Funeral Home Chapel at 702 W. Walnut St. in Rawlins on Saturday, August 8, at 10 a.m. Please join us and wear your favorite graphic tee shirt and black jeans. Condolences may be sent to the family at the following address: 220 W.
