Kathy Wrigley

Kathleen Susan Wrigley, 62, passed away Thursday, May 23rd due to ongoing health issues. She is survived by her sons, Sean and Shane Collins, her grandchildren, Rylie and Chayden Collins, Kalei Hodges, and her siblings Roselie Winn, Jeanette Riddle, Ron, Robert, and Jon Wrigley. She was the daughter of Robert and Susan Lee Wrigley, whom preceded her in death along with her first son, Chip and brother, Norman. Kathy was a California girl who became a Wyoming country gal through and through by touring the rodeo circuit with her brother, Robert. She was a proud and long term waitress on the Square Shooters crew where she served a majority of the residents of Rawlins, if not every single one, and many travelers. She loved her ornery regulars because she was the type of woman that could dish it out as much as it was served, and she did it with a smile because she knew it was all in good fun. She loved to play and be joyous with others. Her hobbies where sewing, painting ceramics, and yelling at the TV during a Bronco's game as if she was there at Mile High Stadium. She loved George Strait, Hallmark movies, NCIS, Elk Mountain, the changing of the leaves, but most of all she loved her little boys and her grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to brag about their accomplishments and the little things that they have done. Kathy tried to always find the good in moments even if things looked bleak. She even felt that way about her own death. So in her wishes there will be no funeral but a celebration of her life Sunday afternoon, June 2nd. The family asks that you come as you are because that is how she knew you. The family will have a viewing Friday evening, May 31st where you can say your goodbyes. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to an account at the Bank of Commerce, P.O. Box 50, Rawlins, WY, 82301. All checks should be made out to The Kathy Wrigley Family. Services are as follows: Visitation will be Friday, May 31st from 6-8 P.M. at Jacoby Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, June 2nd from 2-4 P.M. at The Depot in Rawlins.
