Joseph Houser, 90, entered into rest on November 28, 2018 at the Rawlins Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Joseph was born on January 8, 1928 in Alexandria, Nebraska to Joseph and Karolena Houser. Joe proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Joe was a business owner and ran Joe's Super Service for 28 years. He then went to work for the CCSD#1 in the maintenance department. He was known to keep the lawns and football field in immaculate condition. Joe had many passions that included golfing, picnics at the river and fishing, Christmas eve parties were a family tradition and family dinners. Joe loved to build and built his home as well as worked on cars. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards at the senior center in Rawlins. Joe was a Free Mason, a Shriner and in the JC'S in Rawlins. He was a member of Rawlins Cooperative Parish. Joseph is survived by three daughters; Joelynn (Roy) Williams; Leslie Martinez and Jeri (Jerry) Mascarenas; sister Charlotte Chadwick; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Vivian Hootman Houser; siblings Wilber Houser, Betty Wittlock, Marvin Houser, Galen Houser, Paul Houser, Ted Houser, Shirley French and son-in-law John Martinez. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on January 5, 2019 at 1128 West Jeffers Dr. in Rawlins. Cremation is under the care of Jacoby Funeral Home.
