Joe Carnes

Joseph Louis Carnes, 65, passed away Sunday June 9, 2019 at his home in Saratoga, Wyoming. Joe was born on May 11, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri; the son of Carl and Anna Carnes. Joe ultimately grew up in Belen, New Mexico and then moved to Wyoming in 1972. He married Susan Dealy in 1973 and then settled in Wamsutter, Wyoming to raise their three children. Joe worked in the Wamsutter Oil Field for Hyland Enterprises for 28 years and later Sinclair Oil. He was master of trades; mechanic, welder, trucking supervisor and could operate any type of machinery. Joe loved being with his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling. He loved the Sierra Madres Mountains, especially Hog Park. He is survived by his brother Stephen Carnes of Saratoga, Wyoming. His children Jolene Roesler (Jason) of Laramie, Wyoming, Jennifer Englehart (Bryan) of Baggs, WY and John Carnes (Michelle) of Rawlins, WY. Grandchildren Jaymon, Dakota, Tyler, Katelynn, Anna, Libbie, Jonna, Braven, Andi, Audri and Hoyt. Joe was proceeded in death by his parents Carl and Anna Carnes. Cremation will take place and a private family service will occur at a later date.
