Deacon Jesus P. Juarez, resident of Rawlins, Wyoming passed away on October 25, 2023, at his home, with family at his side, at the age of 89 years.
Jesus was born, raised, and attended schools in Rawlins, Wyoming. He enlisted in the Army in February of 1954 and after serving 3 years returned to his hometown. He met and married his wife Eleanor of 65 years. He worked as an electrician, postman, coal miner, and was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic church on June 11, 1999.
He had a love everything outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also liked tinkering with numerous electrical and mechanical projects.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Eleanor; children Peter, Tim, and Tom; grandchildren Melissa, Jerod, Jordan, Ashton, and Aleasha; Great-grandchildren Lorenzo, Damian, Carlos & Marcus, Bella and Olivia, Lonnie, Isabella, Alyssa, Adam, Moises, Lorenzo, Julian & Hannah; Great-Great grandchildren Brinleigh, Corbin, River Lynne, Kinsley, and Kamdyn; sisters, Rosie, Roberta and Elizabeth and brother Gilbert.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Cordelia; brother Tony; and sisters Mary & Angelina.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 219 W. Pine Street in Rawlins, Wyoming with interment to follow at Rawlins Cemetery. Military Funeral Honors will be afforded by the United States Army and American Legion Post 122. A rosary vigil will be held on Monday, October 30th at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Society for Retired Priests, Cheyenne Diocese and St. Vincent DePaul in Rawlins, Wyoming.
