James W. ‘Jim' Kladianos, 91, of Rawlins, passed away November 7, 2016 at his home. He was born in Superior, WY in 1924 to the late Louis and Margaret (Dugas) Kladianos. He was raised and educated there having graduated from Superior High School in 1942. He served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II and then earned an engineering degree from the University of Wyoming in 1950. After earning his degree, he married Anne Briggs in Hanna in 1953. For his entire career, Mr. Kladianos worked as an engineer in Colorado and Wyoming, including serving as the Rawlins city engineer for 10 years and a resident engineer for the Wyoming Department of Transportation for 25 years until his retirement in 1990. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a friend. His interests included hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. His greatest passion was helping others any time he could. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, Bob Kladianos. Mr. Kladianos is survived by a son, Jim; two daughters, Dawn Geldien and her husband Larry and Margaret Biggs and her husband Chuck all of Laramie; a sister, Pat Radosevich of Laramie; a brother, Chuck Kladianos of Rock Springs; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00 PM Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 219 W. Pine St., Rawlins, WY 82301 with Father Sam Hayes as the Celebrant. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday at the church with military honors and burial to follow at Rawlins Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
