James F. Farver "Jim", 78, passed away October 11, 2016. Jim was born September 7, 1938 in Laramie, Wyoming. Son of H.J. and Helen (Brunyansky) Farver, Jim graduated from Laramie High School in 1956. He attended the University of Wyoming until he joined the Air Force. Jim met his wife, Linda, in Laramie, where they were married 53 years ago. In Rawlins, they added their children Jill Elaine and Michael James to their family. He was employed as a Wyoming Highway Patrolman, in banking, and, his favorite, Bi-Rite Sporting Goods. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge #5 AF and AM, and the Korein Shrine. Jim served as President of the Rawlins Rotary and Rawlins Chamber of Commerce; and served on Carbon County Stockgrowers Association, Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, brand inspection. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and shooting. He was very proud of his family. He is survived by his wife, Linda; his children Jill (Mike Mulvaney) and Mike (Tabatha); his grandchildren Bryonna, Justin, Lindsie, Amanda Farver, and Casey Cottier; his mother-in-law Ruth Maushak; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Nancy Maushak. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Adella. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Rawlins.
