James A. Brown

James Allen Brown, age 48, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Rawlins Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Rawlins surrounded by his mother, daughter, son-in-law, sister and close family friend.

 He was born December 17, 1975 in Laramie to Wayne and Debra (Dahlke) Brown. He graduated from Rawlins High School in 1994. He worked maintenance jobs at the school district and for the City of Rawlins. James enjoyed fishing, woodworking, listening to his favorite music and playing his guitar, he also loved all animals. James truly lived his life to the fullest, he had the biggest heart of gold. His whole life was a battle but he never gave up and always fought through. He never let it change his heart and always found time for family and friends whether it was a simple smile, phone call or casting a fishing line or teaching a young lady to cook.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Erika Daniels and son-in-law Colton Daniels, mother Debra Dahlke, siblings Samantha Brown, Della Basset and brother-in-law Jason Bassett. All of his uncles, aunts and cousins and a special childhood friend, Steve Carver. James was preceded in death by his father Wayne Brown, Grandma Betty and Grandpa Ernie Dahlke, Brother Ernest Brown and Aunt Marie Allen.

The viewing service will be held on September 14, 2024 at 4pm at Casada Funeral Home, 702 W Walnut St, Rawlins WY, 82301. The memorial service will be held at a later date.
