JACK W. STROUD Born: September 12, 1942 Died: September 9, 2017 Beloved son, husband, brother-in-law, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jack W. Stroud, 74, of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home with loved ones by his side. He was born September 12, 1942 in Hanna, Wyoming. Jack was the son of Jack and Mamie (Charter) Stroud. Jack lived in Rawlins, Wyoming for the majority of his life. He proudly served in the Wyoming Army National Guard during his youth. Jack also coached and umpired little league baseball in Rawlins. And was a member of the Rawlins Elks Lodge #609 for 57 years. Jack married Ramona "Anna" Bernal on June 29, 1963 in Rawlins; Anna passed away June 2014. Jack worked construction in Casper when he and Anna first married, then in 1965 he hired out on the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired from the Railroad in 2002, after 37 years of service. In retirement, Jack enthusiastically learned of his Genealogy, studying his family's history along with his wife's family. This prompted him to complete a DNA test in 2010 and input all of his family Genealogy into www.Ancestry.com. Jack also enjoyed four-wheeling in the country, his family, collecting arrowheads, and his computer. Jack is survived by his four children; daughter De Shann Schinkel (Lee O'Connell of Texas) of Rawlins; son Jack A. Stroud (Stacy Hennesy of Oklahoma) of Colby, Kansas; daughter Katilia (Joseph) Skinner of Rawlins; daughter Chantall Cherry (Jack Colson) of Gillette; four grandchildren Nickayla (Jake) Hiler of RAF Mildenhall, UK; Kerry R. Schinkel II of Rawlins; Katerra Skinner of Rawlins; Sierra Skinner of Rawlins, one great-granddaughter Nya Anna Hiler of RAF Mildenhall, UK; and 5 step-granddaughters Samantha Colson of Gillette; Sydney Colson of Gillette; Dominique (Clint) Taylor of Alto, New Mexico; Jacquie (Mark) Bartlett of Colby, Kansas; and Jamie (Craig) Jordan of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by Kerry Schinkel of Rawlins, and his numerous sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Anna of 51 years. Tributes and condolences may be offered along with signing of Jack's online guest book at www.jacobycares.com.
