Hugh Davidson

June 20, 1945 — March 30, 2014

Hugh Norris Davidson, 68, of Rawlins, passed away on Sunday March 30, 2014, at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming, after a hard-fought battle with heart disease. Hugh was born in Harrison, Arkansas on June 20, 1945, to Hugh Euzell and Mary (Potter) Davidson. He attended Rawlins High School. Hugh was married to Katherine (Hooker) Davidson on December 13, 1972. They were married 41 years. Hugh worked as an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, coffee with his coffee buddies and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandson. He was always the first to offer help and loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed spending time in his garage with all his toys. Hugh is survived by his wife Kathi; his children: Craig and Teresa Davidson, David Davidson and JuJu and Denise Williams and Ted Ford; grandchildren: Phylicia Davidson, Brooke (Mike) Beck, Woodrow Davidson, Taylor Williams, Tessa Williams and Ava Ford; great-grandson, Carter Beck; his sister, Helen McNamara of Casper; brother-in-law, Jerry Pierce; much loved sisters-in-law and brothers-in law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Mary; his father and mother-in-law, Streeta and Irene Hooker; his sister, Joyce Pierce; and nephews, Michael Rodabaugh and Jerod Hall. Services will take place on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Rawlins. Bill Schnackenberg will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Honorary pallbearers are Lonnie Moon, Wally Shepard, Sr., Rodgers Duthie, Tao Jaure, Bobbie Moon, Brent Carpenter, Jr., Gary Poledna, Donnie Hansen, Gene Cruz, Kelly Hawbaker, Wendell Davidson, Rick Goodro, Chuck Rodabaugh and all of his coffee buddies.
