Grace Elaine (Brown) Bice completed her journey in life October 5, 2018. She was 96 years of age at the time of her passing. Grace was born January 28, 1922 in Arcadia, Nebraska to Elmer Harrison Brown and Nellie (Webb) Brown. She was one of nine siblings, including five brothers; Raymond Brown, Glen Brown, Clarice Brown, Clifford Brown, and Virgil Brown: three sisters; Virginia Lybarger, Marie Leininger, and Iona Doyle. Grace married Lester Albert Ford in Laramie on April 27, 1940. To this marriage was born three children, Linda Hicks of Santa Ynez, CA, Peggy (Curt) Penman of Rawlins, WY, and Jack Ford. The couple later divorced. Grace later married Bryant Bice in Laramie, WY. The family relocated to Rawlins in 1961. She had eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Grace was active in the Union Pacific Rail Road Old Timers and served as president of the Union Pacific Rail Road Ladies Trainmen in 1979. Grace was an avid snowmobile rider and was an active member of the Rawlins Rough Rider Snowmobile Club for many years. One year she was the Wyoming State Women's Snowmobile Champion. She had a green thumb and always had a lovely yard. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Nellie, and all of her siblings; her son, Jack Eugene Ford; granddaughter, Kimberly Ford; and grandson, Travis Ford. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to the Rawlins Rehab and Wellness for the wonderful care the last year of her life. Grace has requested that there be no services. A family internment will be at the Laramie Cemetery at a later date.
