Gloria A. Trujillo, a resident of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away on October 20, 2024, at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County at the age of 80. She was born on June 25, 1944, in Garcia, Colorado to Felimon Samora and Elva Segura. Gloria married Nicolas B. Trujillo in December of 1974 in Casper, Wyoming. Together they lived in Rawlins, Wyoming for many years before moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming for a short time prior to moving to Denver, Colorado where they lived with their daughter Nicole. The entire family returned to Rawlins, Wyoming in 2016.
Gloria was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was well known for her famous tamales. She dedicated time to her loving family and loved listing to her daughter Nicole sing.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Nicole (Jorge) Carballo of Rawlins, Wyoming, brothers: Oliver (Irene) Samora of Pocatello, Idaho and Albert (Joan) Zamora of Rawlins, Wyoming, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters: Ida Lopez and Joan Montoya, brothers: Joe Zamora and Phil Samora Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rawlins Cemtery. A reception will follow at the church. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 PM.
