Gerald James Sisneros, 46, passed away Jan. 16, 2017. He was born Jan. 27, 1970 in Rawlins. Gerald graduated from Rawlins High School and attended Toni and Guy Hair Dressing Academy. He worked at Sair Acres Manor. Gerald enjoyed playing pool, watching his beloved Raiders and L.A. Lakers, and coaching sports. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Gerald will be remembered for his unforgettable laughter, loving manner, contagious smile, and willingness to always help others. Gerald is survived by his parents, Jesse and Pauline Martinez; brothers, Jesse (Jan) Martinez, Timmy (Toni) Martinez, Leonard Sisneros, and Johnny Sisneros; sisters, Shannon Martinez (Blake), Heather Taylor (Bill), and Kathy Lucero; daughter, Zaysha; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his grandmother, Caroline Fisher; grandfather, Pablin Martinez; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Taylor. A Vigil service with recitation of the Rosary will be held on Fri. Jan. 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat. Jan. 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Fr. Sam Hayes will be the Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Archie Martinez, Charles Montoya Jr., Steve Baldwin, Joseph Sandoval, Austin Young, and Ernie Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Corey Vogel, Kayden Martinez, Barrett Garner, and Jerick Martinez. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery.
