Florence Ross

Florence Kay Ross, 78, of Rawlins, passed away Saturday, April 23 at the West Park Long Term Care Center in Cody, Wyoming. She was born January 24, 1938 in Rawlins to Malcolm "Max" and Hazel Bee (Johnson) Shufeldt. She grew up in Rawlins, and graduated from Rawlins High. She went to college at the University of Wyoming, where she met & married Robert Long. Florence (Kay) was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Rebekah Lodge #28. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and being with her family. She is preceded in death by her father & mother. Florence (Kay) is survived by her son, Zane Scott Long (Tonia) of Rawlins, WY, daughter Lynell Kay (Mark) Preston of Cody, WY, and son Max Chester Long (Tonya) of Glade, Kansas; her five grandchildren, Shelby (Long) Parks, Zekke & Zane Van Orden, Brenna (Long) Malmberg & Skye Long and 9 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at the Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins, WY.
