It is with extreme sadness to announce my father, Eugene “Geno” Oliver’s unexpected passing in his home in Rawlins, Wy at the age of 63 on December 3rd, 2024. He was born in Washington on June 27, 1961, to Mary and Charles “Sonny” Oliver.
After graduating high school in Rawlins, he worked in the oilfield for many years, and with that came one of his biggest accomplishments, roughnecking in Mongolia. With the last few years of his life, he worked beside his brother-in-law. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with his friends throwing a few beers back.
Geno wasn’t a perfect man but a humble one. He will be leaving behind a legacy of selflessness and generosity. He touched many in the community by offering a helping hand. Geno had not a concept for the word “No”. He was a hardworking man, a jack of all trades and knew how to fix almost anything.
He was surrounded by those who loved him every day. Geno will be deeply missed by his Daughter Mary Oliver, Son James Oliver, and Stepson Ramon Jaramillo, Grandchildren Hope, Elijah, Ramon, Chandler, and Jacob, His brothers Victor (Vickie) and Pat (Nikki) Oliver, sisters Debra Oliver- McCormack and Jennette (Allen) Hagan, Nephews Joey, Charles, Mason and Matthew and Nieces Kayla, Jill, Chelsea, Anna and Katie and many great nieces and nephews.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
