Dorothy Ross

Dorothy Helen Ross, 81, born in Cherlotte, MI, passed away Nov. 19, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She moved to Rawlins in 1952 with her parents, Alton Shepard and Anna Many (Presechnik) Shepard and brother, Walter L. Shepard, Sr. Dorothy enjoyed ceramics, had become a certified teacher and taught classes. She had a natural knack for making floral arrangements and enjoyed playing the piano for relaxation. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by her cherished family. She is survived by her brother, Walter L. (Linda) Shepard, Sr.; sons, Robert (Lucy) Ross and Chuck Ross; grandchildren, Janell (Ian) McKillip, Bobby (Chelsi) Ross, Chelcie (Matt Monroe) Ross and Katie Ross; great-grandchildren, Radley Monroe and MacKenna Ross; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be remembered for her remarkable memory of dates, times, occasions and events, both past and present. Services will be held on Wed. Nov. 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Jacoby Funeral Home in Rawlins with viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Father Sam Hayes will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity.
