Doris Jewel Ledbetter, lifelong resident of Saratoga, Wyoming, passed away on November 25, 2020 at the Rawlins Memorial Hospital, at the age of 89 years.
She was born: July 19, 1931 in Saratoga, Wyoming at the family home. She attended school in Saratoga, Wyoming, then married Russell Bennett Ledbetter on August 25, 1947. She was a member of the Rebecca and Odd fellows for most of her married life. She joined the Church of Latter-Day Saints in the early 1960's. Some of her greatest joys were flower gardening, square dancing and attending ceramic classes. Later she tried her hand at bowling and oil painting.
Her husband Russell Bennett Ledbetter preceded her in death, December 1977. Three children blessed her home: Sherry Rosalie MacKay, now of Saratoga, Wyoming; Crystal Lynn Henderson, of North Carolina and Melody Ann Huntley, of Saratoga, Wyoming, who preceded her mother in death seven months ago.
Doris had three grandchildren, John Russell (Rusty) Huntley of Saratoga, Misty Dawn Canaday of Rawlins, and Kyle Bennett Henderson of Quinault, Washington; one great-grand child, Sharna Leann Huntley of Saratoga and three Great-great-grandchildren, all of Saratoga: Steven Russell Kinney, Patrick James Kinney, and Theodor Rustin Niklaus Kinney.
Because of COVID-19, on December 5, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. there will be a graveside ceremony of Doris's burial site at the Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, Wyoming. All are invited to attend. Later, during the summer, when hopefully, family and friends can travel, funeral services for Doris will be held.
