Donna Patricia Medina, 64, of Rawlins, passed away on March 15, 2012, at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rawlins. Father Sam Hayes will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Esquibel, Sr., John Esquibel, Jr., Frank Fisher, Leo Sandoval, Ernie Montoya, and Leo Montoya. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Rostad Mortuary, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Donna was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Rawlins to Agneda (Montoya) and Dario Esquibel. She had spent the majority of her life as a devoted homemaker. She was a meticulous housekeeper and was famous for her Christmas cookies. She enjoyed hunting, camping, taking Buggy Rides with her husband, Gene, and spending time and taking trips with Sis. Eva. She is remembered as a quiet, loving, forgiving and caring lady with a heart of gold, whose son was her pride and joy. Survivors include her husband, Gene Medina of Rawlins; sister and brother-in-law, Elma and Frank Fisher of Utah; brother, John Esquibel of Rawlins; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy; her parents; two brothers: Tim and Joe Esquibel; and a nephew.
